Abstract
We report that organic electroluminescence devices with a distyrylaryl ene (DSA) emitting layer including a new dopant realized highly effici ent and bright emission in blue region. This dopant was amino-substitu ted DSA. The luminous efficiency was obtained to be 1.5 lm/W. The exte rnal quantum efficiency was estimated to be 2.4%, which is one of the highest efficiencies ever reported in blue emitting organic EL devices . (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
