Abstract
Simulation procedures of transverse gas-flow laser amplifiers for powe r extraction are intrinsically two-dimensional. The power development in the laser amplifier, which should be fully coupled to the flow-held variables, depends on a number of hydrodynamic and geometric paramete rs. In order to simplify the optimization of them, a quasi-two-dimensi onal model is proposed.
