Abstract
A grasshopper egg was found containing two embryos that were both male s and contained one B chromosome. Their development was delayed in com parison with that of the untwinned embryos from the same egg pod but t heir morphology was apparently normal. The possible mechanisms causing this unusual phenomenon are discussed.
