Abstract
The structure Of Mn7GeO12 has been determined from a single crystal x- ray diffraction study. It crystallizes in the I4(1)/a c d space group with a = 9.491 (1) angstrom, c = 18.834 (6) angstrom and Z = 8. Mn7GeO 12 is isomorphic to ''braunite''. Manganese atoms with 2+ and 3+ oxida tion states are respectively located in cubic and octahedral sites. Ge is in tetrahedral sites. A preliminary magnetic susceptibility study has been performed.
