Abstract
The control of the physical characteristics of the uranium oxide is of great relevance in the fabrication of nuclear fuel. Various workers h ave studied the influence of the precipitation conditions on the physi cal properties of the precursor ammonium diuranate and subsequently of the oxide obtained there from. An attempt has been made here to modif y the particle size of the ammonium diuranate by the presence of nonaq ueous water miscible solvents during the conventional and homogeneous methods of precipitation.
