Abstract
For both the Schrodinger equation in quantum mechanics and the Riccati -type equation satisfied by the superpotential in supersymmetric quant um mechanics, we explicitly show that there exists an Ermakov-type fun ctional invariant with respect to the space variable. An energy-like i nterpretation is suggested for this invariant.
