Abstract
The direct transesterification method of Lepage and Roy is described a s used in our laboratory for the analysis of plasmalogens and polyunsa turated fatty acids in erythrocytes and cultured fibroblasts by gas ch romatography. An overview is given of the plasmalogen ratios and docos ahexaenoic acid concentrations from controls and patients with differe nt peroxisomal disorders investigated in our laboratory.
