Abstract
Chloride dissociation of [(PPh(3))(4)Pt-2(mu(3)-S)(2)BiCl3] (2) follow ed by addition of [Pt-2(PPh(3))(4)(mu-S)(2)] (1) gave a bis-bidentate complex [{(PPh(3))(4)Pt-2(mu(3)-S)(2)}2BiCl2]Cl (4), which regenerated 2 in CH2Cl2. Complex 4 represents the first example of a main-group c omplex incorporating two bulky thio ligands of 1.
