P. Visona et al., USE OF TL(C5H5) FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF IN(C5H5)(3-N)X(N) - CRYSTAL-STRUCTURE OF [IN(C5H5)CL-2(O(CH2CH2)(2))(2)], Polyhedron, 15(10), 1996, pp. 1743-1745
Reaction of thallium(I) cyclopentadienide with InCl3 and InI3 led to t
he stepwise replacement of halide ions by cyclopentadienides. The comp
lex [In(C5H5)Cl-2 {O(CH2CH2)(2)}(2)] was isolated and its solid-state
structure was established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In this
pentacoordinated complex, the central indium(III) ion is bonded to tw
o tetrahydrofuran molecules in the axial position, one cyclopentadieni
de ligand and two chloride ions in the equatorial positions in a trigo
nal bipyramidal arrangement.
