Abstract
Seeds of muskmelon male sterile line (ms,ms,) were subjected to salt p riming pretreatments in order to improve the germination and emergence at low temperature. The best treatment was 2.5% KNO3 for 16 h in dark . Emergence studies in a field experiment confirmed the effectiveness of the priming treatment for low temperature germination of an early w inter-grown male sterile line in hybrid seed production plot.
