Abstract
Reinvestigation of the monohydroxylactone fraction of an ethanolic ext ract of Lactarius vellereus resulted in the isolation of four new mono hydroxylactones with the marasmane skeleton. The structures were eluci dated by extensive NMR investigations and in one case confirmed by X-r ay measurements.
