Abstract
One of the chemotypes of Halimium viscosum-La Fregeneda-provided a new natural product with a rearranged skeleton. The new bicyclic diol pos sesses an aromatic ring B and its structure has been determined on the basis of H-1, C-13 and 2D NMR (H-1-(13)CHETCOR and H-1-C-13 long rang e inverse detected HMBC) studies.
