Abstract
Three new cardiac glycosides were isolated along with two known carden olides from the seeds of Erysimum cheiranthoides. The new ones were ch aracterized by spectral methods as 16 beta-hydroxystrophanthidin (stro phadogenin) 3-O-beta-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-beta-boiviopyranoside, s trophadogenin 3-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-beta-digitoxopyranos ide and strophanthidin 3-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-beta-digito xopyranoside, named cheiranthosides I, II and III, respectively.
