Abstract
Isomeric pairs of new imidazoanthraquinol-type fluorophores have been synthesized by reaction of a imidazoanthraquinone dye with organometal lic reagents. One of a pair was found to exhibit an intense fluorescen ce in solutions and to form clathrate crystals that contained various kinds of solvent molecules as guest species.
