Jf. Collet et V. Volpert, REACTIVE INFILTRATION IN POROUS-MEDIA WITH THERMAL EFFECTS, European journal of mechanics. B, Fluids, 15(1), 1996, pp. 119-137
We present a first approach to the study of the motion of a fluid perc
olating through a porous medium whose porosity changes in time due to
dissolution of the solid matrix, in the presence of heat transfer betw
een the two phases. A physical model is derived based on mass and ener
gy balance equations. Travelling wave solutions are obtained, both in
the case where thermal effects are not taken into account and for a si
mplified version of the complete model. The existence proof is based o
n topological arguments in the spirit of the classical theorem of Waze
wski.
