Abstract
A new semi-empirical 7-parametric formula for the calculation of (n, a lpha) reaction cross sections at an energy of 14.5 MeV is suggested. T o derive it the analytical expressions describing the alpha-particle e mission spectrum within the frame of the pre-equilibrium exciton and t he evaporation models were used. The systematics obtained ensures bett er agreement with experimental data than empirical systematics suggest ed earlier by other authors.
