Abstract
A phenomenon analogous to the conical refraction widely known in cryst alo-optics and crystalo-acoustics is discovered for the magnetohydrody namical waves in a collisionless plasma with anisotropic thermal press ure. Angle of the conical refraction is calculated for the medium unde r study which is predicted to be 18 degrees 26'. Possible experimental corroboration of the discovered phenomenon is discussed.
