The reaction of the metallo-phosphines Cp(OC)(2)(L)W-PR(2) (L = CO, PR

L = Me(3)P, PR(2) = PPh(2) (2e)) and Cp(OC)(2)Fe-PR(2) (PR(2) = P((t)
Bu)(2) (4a), P((t)Bu)(Pr-i) (4b)) with dimethyldioxirane leads to the
corresponding metallo-phosphineoxides Cp(OC)(2)(L)W-P(O)R(2) (3a-3e) a
nd Cp(OC)(2)Fe-P(O)R(2) (5a, 5b). The structure of Cp(OC)(3)W-P(O)(o-T
ol)(2) (3b) is determined by X-ray analysis.
