Abstract
The positive feelings patients experience towards their therapists hav e important diagnostic and treatment considerations. This article revi ews ann integrates the literature on the therapeutic alliance, the pos itive transference, and the idealizing transference. Examples are prov ided to help clinicians understand and differentiate their patients' p ositive feelings.
