ENERGY-LOSS OF KILOVOLT ELECTRONS IN THIN-FILMS

The energy spectrum of electrons transmitted through thin foils is obt ained by the invariant imbedding technique. Strong influence of the th reshold behavior of the inelastic cross section on the multiple collis ion process is emphasized. Comparison with experimental data shows tha t the developed theory gives an adequate description of the process of the electron penetration.
