Dcj. Lumber et al., FLUORESCENCE STUDIES OF THE ADSORPTION OF POLY(DIMETHYLACRYLAMIDE) ATA SILICA WATER INTERFACE/, Vysokomolekularnye soedinenia. Seria A, 38(1), 1996, pp. 56-60
Fluorescence techniques have been used to study the adsorption of poly
(dimethylacrylamide) (PDMAC) at a silica (Ludox AM)/water interface, A
dsorption isotherm information can be obtained using luminescently lab
elled samples of PDMAC through simple measurements of fluorescence int
ensity and/or lifetime information. Fluorescence anisotropy experiment
s, on the other hand, can be used to study the changes in conformation
s of the adsorbate which occur at silica concentrations greater than t
hat required for 100% adsorption of the polymer from aqueous solution.
