Interpretation of the spectrum of the very young supernova remnant G25
.5+0.2 in terms of the commonly used mechanisms of synchrotron or ther
mal emission runs into serious difficulties. It is shown that the inte
nsity distribution over the spectrum of this source is adequately fitt
ed with the transition emission (with the density effect taken into ac
count) for Thomson scattering of relativistic electrons by magnetic no
nuniformities within the shell.
