Nm. Mardanova et al., OXIDATION OF CARBON-MONOXIDE ON CU-CR-MN GAMMA-AL2O3 CATALYSTS FROM VARIOUS SOURCES/, Kinetics and catalysis, 37(1), 1996, pp. 84-89
X-ray diffraction analysis, electron diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy,
and kinetic measurements, conducted in a gradientless reactor, were u
sed to study the effect of the introduction of active ingredients on t
he composition and performance of the Cu-Cr-Mn/gamma-Al2O3 catalyst fo
r CO oxidation. It was found that for the preparation of a highly effi
cient catalyst, it is important to eliminate possible contacts between
manganese and chromium ions in the bulk of the catalyst grain; this c
an be accomplished by using an appropriate order of the introduction o
f active ingredients into a ternary system when two of three component
s are supported simultaneously (''binary-section'' method).
