Abstract
Sympiesis hyblaeae Surekha sp. n. is described from Kerala, India. Thi s species, which is a solitary endoparasitoid of first and second inst ar larvae, is a potential biological control agent of the teak defolia tor Hyblaea puera (Cramer).
