M. Francois et al., PEDIATRIC AND OTOLARYNGOLOGIC APPROACH TO THE DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT OF OTITIS-MEDIA, Medecine et maladies infectieuses, 26, 1996, pp. 34-39
Acute otitis media and recurrent otitis are the most common diseases i
n chidhood seen in ambulatory practice. The diagnosis and the treatmen
t of these infections are at present more complex. In June 1995, pedia
tricians and otolaryngologists were questionned on their approach to t
he diagnosis and management of otitis media. We report the data of thi
s inquiry and we analyze the differencies between these two physician
groups. It is obvious that the treatment of otitis must be managed for
each patient according to its risk factors.
