Abstract
The results of geochemical experiments with barite are analyzed. The h alf-life limit (T-1/2 > 4 X 10(21) yr) is obtained for 2K(0v + 2v) cap ture and for K beta(+)(0v + 2v) and 2 beta(+)(0v + 2v) processes on Ba -130. Furthermore, the constraint T-1/2 > 3 X 10(20) yr is found for t he 2K(0v + 2v) capture on Ba-132. The sensitivity of present-day geoch emical setups is shown to be sufficient for detecting 2K(2v) capture o n Ba-130.
