J. Pilling et al., ON THE MODELING OF DIFFUSION BONDING IN MATERIALS - SUPERPLASTIC SUPER ALPHA-2, Materials science & engineering. A, Structural materials: properties, microstructure and processing, 205(1-2), 1996, pp. 72-78
Studies of microduplex Super Alpha-2 sheet have shown that the materia
l has a considerable potential for superplastic deformation at tempera
tures in the range 940-980 degrees C. Sound bonds were produced using
isostatic pressure for different surface finishes at temperatures of 9
60 and 980 degrees C under conditions which were fully consistent with
the predictions of the model described in the paper, and within the l
imits of reliability of the materials property data available for Supe
r Alpha-2.
