L. Picton et al., CHEMICALLY-MODIFIED EXOPOLYSACCHARIDE PULLULANS - PHYSICOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF IONIC DERIVATIVES, Carbohydrate polymers, 28(2), 1995, pp. 131-136
The paper presents some physico-chemical characteristics of dilute sol
utions of exopolysaccharide pullulan and its carboxymethyl, sulfoethyl
and sulfopropyl ionic derivatives. On-line size exclusion chromatogra
phy/multi-angle laser light scattering (SEC/MALLS) was used for establ
ishing their weight average molecular weight (M(w)), number average mo
lecular weight (M(n)), polydispersity index (I-p = M(w)/M(n)) and radi
us of gyration R(g).
