Abstract
Microscopic fungi are the main destructive agents in ecosystems. Data on the size and structure of the micromycete assemblage are needed to describe their participation in biotransformation processes. Existing data and the author's data on reserves, profile distribution, and biom orphological structure of the biomass of microscopic fungi in soils of Siberia are surveyed.
