Abstract
The results of initial studies on the behavior of rocket-fuel componen ts in natural landscapes where remnants of space rockets have fallen a re discussed. One of the most toxic rocket fuels-unsymmetric dimethylh ydrazine-has been detected in soil, water, and plants. Its concentrati ons in different environments vary widely depending on a combination o f natural and technology-related factors.
