Abstract
Yarrowia lipolytica strains isolated from various habitats were tested in the reduction of prochiral carbonyl groups. The anti-Prelog reduct ion (R-enantiomer) is observed with different yields and enantiomeric excesses depending on the structure of the ketones 1a-e.
