Abstract
Chloroplatinic acid catalyzes hydrosilylation reactions between bis(di methylsilyl)acetylenes and simple aromatic monoethynyl compounds, yiel ding styrenic derivatives. Reactions of the bis(dimethylsilyl)acetylen es with aromatic diethynyl compounds yield conjugated short chain olig omers.
