M. Rodriguezfranco et al., MAGNETIZATION PROCESSES IN SAMPLES WITH MODULATED ANISOTROPY, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 153(1-2), 1996, pp. 141-150
We have induced a helical anisotropy distribution by current annealing
, in low-magnetostriction amorphous ribbons, In these samples the anis
otropy direction rotates 180 degrees continuously from one surface of
the ribbon to the other, In this paper we report a theoretical and exp
erimental study showing chirality conservation during the magnetizatio
n process in these samples. The chirality conservation implies that th
e sign of magetization chirality must be the same as the anisotropy on
e, This restriction controls the magnetization processes producing lar
ge Barkhausen discontinuities.
