A. Kosturiak et al., MAGNETO-POLYMER COMPOSITES PREPARED FROM METALLOORGANIC IRON COMPLEXES, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 153(1-2), 1996, pp. 184-188
We have prepared samples of magneto-polymer composites from two metall
o-organic magnetic fillers of the Fe complexes of 3-thiosemicarbasone
2,3-indolinedione (isatin) which have been immersed in defined ratio t
ogether with an inorganic magnetic filler of MnZnO-Fe2O3 ferrite into
poly(vinyl chloride) paste. The metallo-organic iron complexes are mag
netically ordered up to about 305 degrees C. The permeability curves o
f the magneto-polymer composite materials have been measured and it ha
s been found that their physical parameters show a significant increas
e in magnetic permeability compared with magneto-polymer composite mat
erials including only MnZnO-Fe2O3 ferrite. These results are supported
by Mossbauer spectroscopy measurements, and it has been found that su
bstantial increase in magnetic permeability implies an increase in the
s-elecuon density on Fe2+ and Fe3+ nuclei due to the interaction of t
he organic magnetic filler with the inorganic one.
