Abstract
For sigma --> infinity and for axisymmetric geometry, Ohm's law is wri tten for some specific cases in a form similar to the Grad-Shafranov e quation describing equilibrium MHD configurations. Certain distinctive features of the derived equations are considered. In the limiting cas e v(i) --> 0, a transformation of the ''three-flux'' set of equations (written in the Morozov-Solov'ev form) for axisymmetric steady flows o f an ideal two-component plasma to the Grad-Shafranov equation is anal yzed.
