GLOBULE LEUKOCYTE TUMOR IN 6 CATS

Six cats were diagnosed with globule leukocyte tumors. There was no br eed, sex, or age predilection. Primary complaints were nonspecific: an orexia and weight loss. The most common physical examination, finding was a palpable mid- to cranial abdominal mass. Five were tested for fe line leukemia virus, and all were negative. Clinical course and respon se to chemotherapy varied widely. Necropsy findings demonstrated exten sive metastatic potential for this neoplasm. This report indicated tha t the prognosis may not be as poor as previous reports would indicate.
