Abstract
FlexControl is presented in this paper as a CAE (Computer-Aided-Engine ering) platform for designing real-time fuzzy control systems: Capable of integrating all the four phases for the design, namely, tuning, si mulation, prototyping and field testing, FlexControl allows the whole design process to be cycled easily and efficiently, thus considerably speeding up the control system design and prototyping. Its hardware ar chitecture and software development are detailed. Its usage is describ ed, along with two illustrative examples.
