Abstract
A magneto-optical bandpass filter composed of a set of Faraday rotator s with polarizers inserted between them is proposed, A material analys is for the construction of the filter is performed, and the behavior o f the filter is investigated for the most promising magneto-optical ma terials. It is shown that bandwidths in the range of a few nanometers to tens of nanometers may be achieved depending on the material used i n the filter construction.
