Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the conditions under which an int erfacial photopolymerization process results in hydrogel barriers. Vis ible light initiated interfacial photopolymerization of a polyoxyethyl ene glycol (PEG)-co-poly(alpha-hydroxy acid) copolymer based on PEG 80 00 macromonomer was performed on porcine aortic tissue, resulting in c onformal hydrogel barriers. The process conditions were optimized in v itro for the formation of a 5-100 mu m thick barrier.
