The authors found that antibiotics used to treat various infections of
ten were ineffective in the presence of abnormal localized deposits of
heavy metals like Hg and Pb, which were often observed to co-exist wi
th Chlamydia trachomatis, Herpes Simplex Types I & II, Cytomegalovirus
(CMV), and other micro-organisms. Our earlier research revealed that d
espite rigorous treatment with antibiotics together with various drug
uptake enhancement techniques, subjects who had been treated for Chlam
ydia trachomatis infections, seemingly successfully with disappearance
of their symptoms, were often experiencing recurrences within several
months after completion of their treatment despite taking precautions
against reinfection. Careful examination of the entire body of these
symptom-free patients with the Bi-Digital O-Ring Test revealed that th
e Chlamydia trachomatis had retreated to 3 similar to 5 hiding places
with localized increase in uric acid levels: 1) sublingual caruncle, 2
) a small round area in the right and/or left axillae, 3) the genitals
(Corona Glandis area of the Glans Penis at the Fossa Navicularis of t
he urethra in the male, and near the orifice of the urethra in the fem
ale), 4) Insulin-like Growth Factor positive horizontal lines, particu
larly above and below the knees, 5) the maxillary, ethmoid and frontal
sinuses and the horizontal lines at the base of the nostrils (particu
larly small areas where Insulin-like Growth Factors exist). We found t
hat all these areas contain Insulin-like Growth Factors I & II which a
re reduced in the presence of infection. Even when drug uptake of anti
biotics was selectively increased in these 3 similar to 5 areas by var
ious drug uptake enhancement methods developed by the Ist author, stil
l the infection persisted. In the spring of 1995, use of Chinese parsl
ey for successful elimination of Hg deposits existing in various organ
s of the first author as the result of the decay of radioactive Thalli
um 201 injected for cardiac SPECT, was accidentally discovered after e
ating Vietnamese soup, which happened to contain Chinese parsley, also
called cilantro. We also found Chinese parsley accelerates the excret
ion of Hg, Pb, and Al from the body through the urine. Our subjects we
re given a course of antibiotics (Doxycycline for Chlamydia trachomati
s infection) or anti-viral agents (EPA with DHA for Herpes Family Viru
ses) together with Chinese parsley. Since these vegetable/herbs were e
aten, the amount of effective substance absorbed varied and some peopl
e did not like the taste of these relatively large amounts of either c
ooked or raw parsley or its juice, but together with effective antibio
tics delivered by drug uptake enhancement methods to the infected area
s, the substances worked synergistically, rapidly reducing the general
ized symptoms and infection. The micro-organisms retreated to the 3 si
milar to 5 areas listed above where, with continued treatment, they we
re significantly reduced, but not completely eliminated. Because of th
ese problems, a pharmaceutical company was asked to produce a Chinese
parsley tablet containing a controlled amount in a highly absorbable f
orm. When 11 subjects were treated with Doxycycline for Chlamydia trac
homatis infection, or anti-viral agents (EPA with DHA) for Herpes Fami
ly Viruses, drug uptake enhancement methods to selectively increase de
livery of the drugs to the affected areas, and Chinese parsley tablets
to remove the heavy metal deposits, the last traces of the infections
and clinical symptoms disappeared completely. Therefore we hypothesiz
ed that the infectious micro-organisms mentioned above, somehow utiliz
e the Hg or Pb to protect themselves from what would otherwise be effe
ctive antibiotics, and/or that heavy metal deposits in some way make a
ntibiotics ineffective. Since the micro-organisms retreat to areas in
which Insulin-like Growth Factors I & II normally exist, they may be u
tilizing them for their own growth and multiplication. These phenomena
may be related to the development of drug resistance by the micro- or
ganisms. Based on our Bi-Digital O-Ring Test study, we considered at l
east 12 different diseases which involve localized deposits of various
metals with co-existing variety of infections. Among them was cancer,
and as the first author's previous study in the late 1980's indicated
, various cancer and pre-cancer cell nuclei contained Hg along with 4
other parameters. Namely, in pre-cancer and cancer tissues the followi
ng 5 parameters coexist: 1) marked presence of Oncogene C-fos Ab(2) 2)
marked presence of Integrin alpha(5) beta(1) 3) presence of significa
nt Hg deposits, 4) presence of virus, 5) absence of Acetylcholine. Sin
ce with the use of the anti viral agent and Chinese parsley the above
parameters returned to almost normal on the first author's upper arm w
here the pre-cancerous cells had been found, we are currently giving a
number of volunteers, referred by physicians, (with various types of
cancer with metastasis confirmed by histological examination) a combin
ation of 2 dietary supplements: EPA with DHA as an anti-viral agent, a
nd Chinese parsley tablets to remove the localized Hg deposits from th
e cell nuclei. Various drug uptake enhancement methods are included in
this treatment. This preliminary study has shown potential beneficial
effects in reducing of cancerous and metastatic tumors, and their ass
ociated pain.
