Abstract
The reactions and equilibrium relationships underlying the absorption process of CO2 gas in ammoniated brine solutions as proposed in part 1 are described first. A numerical solution of a set of nonlinear equat ions developed in the form of an algorithm, to calculate the concentra tion of unreacted ammonia, is obtained next. Calculated values are com pared with experimental data for the system under investigation. The i nstantaneous absorption rate is evaluated by using the approximate app roach (film model) and the exact solution (penetration theory).
