Ld. Quin et al., AN APPLICATION OF LOW-COORDINATION PHOSPHORUS SPECIES - PHOSPHORYLATION OF OH GROUPS ON VARIOUS SOLIDS, Phosphorus, sulfur and silicon and the related elements, 76(1-4), 1993, pp. 351-354
The 3-coordinate phosphoryl species RO-PO2, R-PO2, and RO-P(S)O and th
e 2-coordinate ArOP=O were generated in the presence of silica gel; al
umina, titanium dioxide, Zeolites, and cellulose were also used with s
ome of these reactants. Phosphorus functions were covalently bonded to
the surface as revealed by CP-MAS P-31 and (for silica gel and Zeolit
es) by Si-29 NMR. Phosphorylated silica gel has potential value as an
HPLC packing.
