Abstract
Diphenyl phosphonate ester analogues of phenylalanine and peptides der ived from these have been prepared and are shown to specifically inhib it chymotrypsin. Phosphonate isosters of serine and tyrosine phosphate s appropriately protected for use in peptide synthesis have been prepa red.
