Abstract
Neutron-activation analysis (NAA) of clay test tiles fired to temperat ures from 100 degrees to 1100 degrees C shows that with the possible e xception of bromine, no volatilization of 34 elements occurs. Thus, th ere is little reason to consider firing temperature a potential confou nding factor in ceramic compositional studies. (C) 1996 Academic Press Limited
