A perturbation-incremental method is presented for the analysis of str
ongly non-linear oscillators of the form double over dotx + g(x) = lam
bda f(x, over dotx)over dotx, where g(x) and f(x, over dotx) are arbit
rary non-linear functions of their arguments. The method is an extensi
on of the perturbation-iterative method to the case where lambda is no
t necessarily small. It incorporates salient features from both the pe
rturbation method and the incremental method. Limit cycles of the osci
llators can be calculated to any desired degree of accuracy. The stabi
lity of the limit cycle is also discussed.
