Abstract
The relation between placental leucine aminopeptidase (PLAP) activity in maternal sera and umbilical artery waveforms (systolic/diastoic rat io, S/D) obtained by pulsed Doppler has been examined by cross-section al study in 26 normal pregnancies during weeks 26-38. A negative corre lation was seen to exist suggesting that P-LAP may have a role in the regulation of uteroplacental blood flow.
