Abstract
The aluminium chloride/phthaloyl chloride in nitrobenzene is more suit able medium than aluminium chloride melt for the synthesis of N-methyl ated 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-azanaphthacenes by the cyclocondensation of corresponding N-methylated 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro quinolines.
