Abstract
Hydrazides have been synthesized by condensing substituted dihydropyri dine dicarboxylic acid esters with hydrazine hydrate Condensation of h ydrazides with aryl isothiocyanates yielded thiosemicarbazides. The th iosemicarbazides on treatment with NaOH and cone H2SO4 gave triazoles and thiadiazoles. The synthesized compounds have been tested for their antimicrobial activity. Some of the compounds showed significant acti vity.
