Abstract
The Cd, Cu, Fe, Pb, Mn, and Zn concentrations in soil and water leaf ( Talinum triangulare) collected from dump sites and control sites were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry to evaluate the effe ct of waste disposal on the levels of these metals in the vegetable. A statistically significant difference was found between the concentrat ion of analysed elements in soils and vegetables collected from dump s ites and control sites.
