ON THE EXPERIMENTAL METHODS TO CHARACTERIZE THE OPAMP RESPONSE - A CRITICAL-VIEW

This brief critically reviews the most popular methods for the frequen cy characterisation of operational amplifiers. The common point of all them is their simplicity, in the sense that they make use of simple s tages, are computationally simple and do not require sophisticated ins trumentation. The weakness and strength of the different methods are p ointed out and demonstrated via Spice simulations and experimental mea surements. On this basis, one of them is pointed out as potentially th e most interesting. Some suggestions and hints are given to improve it s accuracy.
